What does red powder wrapped in paper taped above doorways mean?
We found small paper packaged taped above our front and back door frames – they contained a red powder and the paper had a grid of numbers written on it. What are these?
The grid containing numbers sounds like a magic square, these are supposed to evoke planetary powers. Without knowing what the red powder is it is hard to say what it is supposed to represent but it is a classical form of protection magic to either secure something to a door frame or bury something at its foundations.
