what kind of material / fabric is better for a study chair vinyl, leather or plush?
Would chairs made using plush material/fabric be less or more expensive to make as opposed to a leather chair?(eg.a third of the cost of leather, half of he cost etc.) will they stand the test of time (durable)? or will they naturally wear down faster than leather or vinyl material? What is a sensible price range for a plush chair?
Beyond considerations of price or durability, you have to consider the philosophic aspects of the three materials…after all, you’ll be using it for studying, right?
Vinyl…man-made, slick, adhesive to skin in hot weather – good for studying computer science in, but ineffective for poetry or philosophy.
Leather…conducive to naughty daydreams [esp. if it's black leather], but durable enuf for serious swotting before exams.
Plush…just what your grandmother would wish for you, soft and sentimental, excellent for daydreaming; can be color-coordinated with your favorite teddy-bear.
As you can easily see, cost isn’t necessarily the only factor to consider! I’ve always believed that interior design meant far more than moving your traps around.
