Muay Thai has been increasing in popularity around the world lately. Anybody that knows martial arts know a thing or two about Muay Thai. Muay Thai has been increasing in popularity ever since.

Definition of Muay Thai. It is a martial art that originated in Thailand. They used this technique to ward off thieves and also to defend themselves. This is a deadly martial art that can harm the opponent or even kill them. This type of martial art is not the same as any other martial arts that you see in TV.

Before, Muay Thai kickboxing is a lethal art. In fact, because fighters don’t wear gears or protection, there are cases where Muay Thai athletes died because of the hard and fast blows that their opponents delivered. In the past, lengths of cords were used to wrap around the fist of the fighter to be used as gloves. However, as the years progressed, rules were written in order to make Muay Thai a safer sport that everyone can enjoy playing. And, standard boxing gloves are now used to cover fists.

After a few years, Muay Thai progressed as a martial art as well as a fighting style. It attracted martial arts fans from all over the world and there is now numerous training facilities located all over the world. Qualified instructors here offer to teach Muay Thai to people who are interested in learning this martial art.

It has been gaining popularity at present and a lot of TV networks covers Muay Thai matches at least weekly.

The match usually last for five rounds with three minutes of every round and there is also a two-minute break in between rounds. The competitors also perform a ceremonial dance for their coaches before to start fights. This is also the time where they can perform stretches and warm-up before the actual fight.
