Workout with punchbag? Whats a good workout and what muscle groups does it target?
I already lift weights regularly, just wondered what benefit if any a punchbag would do and what do I need to know about using one?
Well, punching works out the chest, triceps, and shoulders (and hips and core too, if you do it right). But unless you’re using some kind of resistance, these muscles won’t get a lot stronger by using a punching bag. Punching a bag mainly improves your hand-eye coordination, speed, and cardiovascular endurance.
