How close to Mortal Kombat style fighting can we get?

I do Muay Thai and Boxing and was thinking, the closer I can get to the Mortal Kombat style of fighting, the better off I am. I’m talking about the blood guts and fatalities.

I’m talking about the never-ending stamina, the overly intense combinations and insane agility and technique.
I’m sorry, I meant I am NOT talking about the blood guts and fatalities

You’re never really going to get that, because not every fighter is going to have the stamina, agility, technique, and the training it takes to execute good, intelligent combinations. However, something like Chuck Norris’s “World Combat League”, where the fighters were only given a single 3-minute round to fight, kind of ups the intensity and pace. It forces them to fight at a higher rate than they might in, say, a 5- or 6-round fight.

But outside of rules like that, what you’re talking about is very fighter-dependent. Unless they’re up against a chump, most fighters tend to be a little conservative with their technique and energy expenditure, knowing that at any moment the other guy is just as capable of taking them down if they get reckless.
