boise ID martial arts?judo, hapkido, aikido, kickboxing, muay thai, shidokan or sambo?
all i can find is taekwondo, kung fu and one BJJ place. im in TKD now and its great, but i want to learn how to fight, not just spar. i’ve heard these styles can help, but i can’t find them. anyone konw of anything or just some other arts or search tips or ANYTHING?
Boise is a big place…well according to idaho standards. i’m sure there are a few places around there, but you might have to google it or do a local yahoo search of it. if you can’t find anything else around there other than what you’ve already mentioned, then i would suggest you taking the BJJ. i say that because you’re already doing a striking art and you might as well round your martial art skills out with a grappling art like BJJ. i know that most TKD schools just teach you how to spar and to point fight, but try to watch some full contact stuff and take what you know and figure out how you could apply it the same way. there are plenty of kicks that you would learn in TKD that are ill advised in the street. However, like i said, if you can’t find somethng like Muay Thai or Shidokan(which takes alot from jujitsu and muay thai), or sambo, then the BJJ is the next best bet.
