Why Guys Will Forever Love The Color Black
Men need to let women in on a certain color secret that all men understand and that no women get, and that’s that black is a guy’s best friend. This special guy color attracts men like a free buffet bar attracts a herd of Weight Watchers rejects for a few reasons. It certainly is a very popular color and many a guy has a lot of black things in his ‘wardrobe, ‘ if you want to call the pile of clothing he selects from a wardrobe, that is. Truly, Black never goes out of style. At least for guy.
The qualities of the color black have helped to make it beloved among all colors by men everywhere, no matter their age. It is the best color among all at hiding the dirt that seems to follow real men everywhere they go. It can not only make something look good in ways that other colors can’t, but it also helps to keep the guy from having to wash anything. For example, his beloved black helmet that’s pulled out for more cycle riding probably hasn’t been washed in five or six years.
And hiding dirt is probably something that is a high priority on most any man’s list of reasons for why he would get something that is predominantly were completely black in color. If the word ‘style’ even enters into his vocabulary, it only does so grudgingly and because he’s probably trying to impress some woman who believes he’s actually really into arugula and European art films.
For the rest of us guys, picking up a nice black sport watch is more a matter of looking through the Sunday newspaper for a good deal on a wristwatch or going online to the discount store website to see if any of those eight dollar watches are still available. Considering that one of those watches is at least as accurate and far more durable than a $3000 Swiss watch, who is actually the smarter person questioned the guy or the snooty style maven?
In reality, there’s really no deep-dark secret behind why guys love the color black. In fact, most men, boys and even old men worship the color because it also helps them quickly wash off the odd ketchup stain or motor oil stain that ends up on their black jeans. Try that little stunt while wearing a pair of stylish light colored khakis and see the looks that will be cast a guy’s way, especially if that stain is near the crotch area.
So then; is there really anything to complain about when it comes to the color black? Other than that somebody who wears it from head to toe, day in and day out might be mistaken for some minion of the evil dark Lord Slaggathor or something, there really doesn’t seem to be much else that could be said in a negative manner about black, even when a men’s sport watch is covered in it. For a fact, though; women probably won’t be running around in black wedding dresses anytime soon, it seems.
There are so many positive things to say about black, coming from the perspective of a guy, that it’s a wonder that more men aren’t running around dressed like ninja warriors. Certainly, it can even slim down a guy who’s been chowing down on too many doughnuts and 32 ounce soda pops while busily punching his videogame controller, and that’s probably why black will forever be loved by any man or boy worth his salt.
