Stupid question perhaps, but confused…”Drop out Crisis”?
So I have been reading on USNews.com that there is a high school dropout crisis in the US. The article link is below.

However, I am really confused, because now kids are attending college in record numbers.

Because college is available to more people than ever before.
Community Colleges make it more affordable
People are starting to realize that to make a decent living you need a college education.
So you see, even though record numbers are dropping out, not as many people were able to go to college before. Now they have more loans, grants, federal aide, scholarships, etc available.
I hope that makes sense
