Varieties of Hatch gloves
Policemen need gloves pretty much through all seasons, and for most of their jobs. Some models of puncture resistant hatch gloves will be reinforced with extra leather on the palm side, while some others will have mesh or spandex lamination on the other side, and yet other models will have knuckle reinforcement.
Fluid proof hatch gloves are designed to protect the user when they are likely to come into contact with body fluids during body searches or while examining the scene of a crime. The lining of these gloves is pathogen resistant as well as liquid proof, and gives complete protection against microorganisms causing HIV, hepatitis, tuberculosis, and other diseases. It has also got a moisture wicking; breathable lining that ensures the wearer’s comfort during all seasons, with an elastic cuff that ensures comfortable fitting.
Handler hatch gloves have been developed for handling animals, especially dogs and horses, which are the animals that ordinary people as well as police routinely handle as part of their jobs. It is made of goatskin leather, which is characteristically lightweight, soft, flexible, and fully water resistant. The leather used in handler hatch gloves is treated with the chemical aniline, which makes the leather more breathable. The backside of the glove is made of the synthetic rubber neoprene.
Fire resistant hatch gloves have goatskin leather on the palm side, and are designed to provide a very good grip. It offers flash protection, and resists combustion to a very high degree. These gloves have both a hook and a loop for fastening. The synthetic fiber Kevlar on the backside makes it cut resistant as well.
The marksman hatch gloves for shooters are snugly fitting gloves, which provide excellent grip. To make the grip on the gun firm, that part of the gloves, which come into contact with the weapon, is made of non-skid material. The palm of marksman hatch gloves is made of kangaroo leather, which is very strong and durable. It is secured at the wrist by Velcro straps.
Riot control hatch gloves are designed for defending the wearers from the things that a rioting mob could throw, or when they have to confront armed criminals or suspects, or while working in correctional facilities. The palm of riot control gloves is made of goatskin, the other side is padded with steel, and knuckles have foam protection.
