Can NJROTC color guard where the chrome helmets?
Hello there, NS1 cadet seamen apprentice- proud member of drill team with arms and proud to where Navy uniform. When my company participates in drill events, I see other branches do their regulation.
What impressed me the most was the army color guard. The army color guard had chrome helmet covers instead of berets, garrisons, or combo covers. My question is if the navy can where chrome helmets as covers for color guard. I am very very very jealous of the army JROTC. Thanks for reading. Take care, comrades. OORAH!
hello there E-2, in high school I was a fellow Ensign in NJROTC. So, to answer your question, NO, NJROTC color guard can not wear chrome helmets. First off, check your field manual for the regulations on Navy Uniforms, and no where in there is there a chrome helmet, it is not in regulation for the Navy. The only covers allowed to be worn by NJROTC cadets are Garrison Caps or Combo Covers.
