Looking for full face motorcycle helmets that are ready to paint. Can anyone help me?
I’m trying to get into custom painting. I’m looking for full face DOT approved (+snell is also acceptable) helmet. Can anyone help me with this?
You want an unpainted DOT helmet? You’ll never find one. Reason being the chemicals applied to finish the helmet must not cause any reaction with the materials used to construct it. Can you certify that? To DOT> No you can’t and the second you take your little airbrush to the helmet all bets are off on the certification. Dot certification is not something handed out to just any constructor working out of a shed in his grandparents back yard. You can paint ‘em but they will not be DOT helmets any longer.
