Free-standing web camera or one that clips to monitor?
We have not had a web camera previously, but want to get one, primarily for Skype or similar service. The Logitech QuickCam 9000 gets very good reviews, but this one clips to your monitor (we have a desktop). Many of the other ones seem to be free-standing and you put them on a shelf or whatever.
Which type do people find easier to work with?
Thanks.
The free standing one is best for me. I do have the Logitech QuickCam and am very pleased with it. The free standing allows me to move the camera to various locations, restricted only by a suface to place it on and the lenght of the USB cord. Great to stick out of a nearby window if you want to monitor your yard or a specific area. That Cam has a montion detector feature that is excellent for security monitoring.
