Free Parachute
A parachute jumper waits five seconds before opening his chute. How far has he fallen in his free time?

*if you could tell me the answer and tell me how you got your answer, that would be awesome!

use the formula v = u + gt for this
v= final velocity (what we’re trying ot find out)
u= initial velocity (0 because he jumped while standing still)
g = 9.8 (9.8 is the constant gravity for everything on earth)
t = time (5 seconds)

v= u + 9.8 x 5
v = 49

he was falling at a speed of 49 meters per second when he pulled the chute
