I have a 9 yr old female boxer, not spayed?
she was in good shape and then had lyme vaccination; had them previously but this time seems she has gone downhill; loss of appetite , weak in back legs ; took her to another vet ; said can’t be Lyme from vaccination ; has some urinary issues ; last night she was foaming at the mouth and had a hard time standing on back legs for a short time; I took her outside , she kept walking in circles and then seemed okay; I have another appt today ; anyone have any similiar issues??
I trusted vets and look where it has gotten me ; a healthy dog day of vaccination and now 2 months later , one that can’t stand on back legs, a symptom of Lyme; my experience in the past has been money money money
they push the vaccinations like crazy; could be her age now a problem with that vaccination or a bad batch etc; but they keep telling me no and meanwhile my dog gets worse; I am on vet no. 2
she would never survive an operation at this point ; thanks for the information
hi, im not sure if i can help .. my boxer was 10 and a half when she died earlier this year,.. firstly after my dogs 3rd birthday we stopped taking her for her annual vaccinations, you can think we were uncaring, but in fact it was the opposite, we were advised by vet that the vaccinations can do more harm that good (not all the time) . anyway, we decided to follow this advice … my dog had cancer, and after having this removed and was on the road to recovery she started having fits, acting strangely and having rear leg problems …. she died a few days later after a major stroke, it was devastating …. i think you should have more tests to rule out any major illnesses , as for the lyme, im not sure this is the cause … unfortunately 9 is an average age for a boxer, as im sure you are aware they dint stay with us long enough …. good luck and i hope she recovers soon ..
