It is rumored that FujiFilm plans to cease color slide processing in Phoenix at the end of 2009. True?
I have heard that FujiFilm plans to close down their color slide processing at the end of the year. Is it true?
I had not heard that, but it could be that the ratio of E-6 coming to their Phoenix lab has been dropping to the point where keeping an E-6 line up and running is not making them a profit. There are still two labs in Phoenix that process E-6, so you will still be able to get the film processed in Phoenix, but it will certainly cost you more.
This may be an opportunity for someone to buy Fujifilm’s old E-6 machines and provide a specialty service?
