Are Pro v1 worth the money, i like the taylormade black?
I play callaway hx hot, but i am think of switching to taylormade black or pro v1, is it worth the money?
depending on where you buy, they should be about the same price (pro V1/V1x, TaylorMade TP red/black, Bridgestone B330/330s, Callaway HX Tour/Tour 56, and Srixon Z-Ur-c/s are all sold in retail shops between 39.95 to 43.95) and most all have the same playing characteristics… I keep at least two sleeves of all the above balls in my trunk for those guys I play with, and when I just want to play something different…If you play a high spin ball to the greens to check up approaches or actually back up chips then you want to play a premium ball, they have soft extra thin covers just for control, primarily around greens… if you arent trying to move a ball from side to side or spin them to greens, then just about any ball will do for you, if you are still losing a few balls a round then a premium ball is not for you and I would suggest the HX hot you currently play or Srixon trispeed, maxfli fire, bridgestone e5/6, titleist nxt tour or solo, they have good playing characteristics, durable covers and are very reasonably priced…fyi I am currently playing bridgestone330s and taylor made tp reds and like those balls a lot…
