Bags Punch
Punch Bags?

i am a beginner thinking about getting a punch bag not one that hangs froma wall just a free standing one, and id like to know what it will improve towards my body, like muscular strength etc

I’d get a heavy bag (hanging) if you want to punch for muscular development. However, if you need to get a free-standing because of where you live, get the heaviest one possible. If you need to fill the base yourself, fill it to the brim with sand, then with water. You’ll be hitting it so hard, it will move on you.

When punching this bag, get a set of hand wraps and some bag gloves. The purpose of the heavy bag workout is to increase your lactic acid tolerance, working your anaerobic system. Punch as hard as you can, working different combinations of hooks and straights to keep it fun. Try doing 2 minute rounds, with one minute rests, and work your way up to 5 X 3 minute rounds.

You’ll develop fantastic delts and pecs, and it’s great for the abs and intercoastals. Your mid-back and traps will also be sore for the first few days from pulling all your punches back to position.

Also, try rossboxing.com for some good general training advice and boxing techniques. Best of luck!
