Could you hang a punch bag from a sturdy basketball stand?
I have a pretty sturdy basketball stand, and just wondering if it would be enough to support a standard punch bag?
how sturdy is it, and what weight is the bag, and how much do you weigh. all those factors come into play depending on if the stand will support any of the 3 at once or at the same time. it could hold but not for long, or it could just break after a week. your weight/power comes into play because of all the added force you are applying to the stand, as well as the weight of the bag. if its one of those permanent stands then i would say yes it should be fine, but get a bag that isnt so heavy at first. if its a portable/moveable stand then i wouldnt advise using it unless you have added weight on the bottom or the main pole is very sturdy.
