What is the best way to hang a 80 lb heavy bag on a unfinished basement ceiling with wooden beams?
also is the a cheap way to do it and if can u get the material at a hardware store
Although they make a special bracket just for what you want to do I would not recommend it because it will weaken the floor boards which will cause creaking and sagging in your home. The bracket can be bought online and is very cheap or you could go to a hardware store and ask for one. It is called an I-Beam bracket for heavy bag.
If I were you though I would just buy a freestanding bag stand (Dick’s sporting goods for about $99) or get a wavemaster freestanding bag instead so you do not create damage to your home.
