What’s the better overall style of martial arts to take? jiu jitsu or kickboxing?
these are the only stlyes offered where i live, not really sure what im looking for but just whatever one would help me out best in fighting and leadin into a interest into more martial arts someday
They are both very good.
Kick boxing is a ring art and basically is boxing plus kicks. It’s definitely very effective and powerful
Jiu jitsu is a complete marshal art with blows, grappling, locks and so on and basically a self defense art. It’s the one used by police corps or military bodies like the SAS for instance.
If you want quick results kick boxing is best.
If you want results in the long run and an art that is blended with Eastern philosophies and ethical life style and that may turn into a life long study of marshal arts jiu jitsu is best.
